Special Educator Toolbox

The purpose of our collaborative research is to explore the qualifications necessary in a teacher’s toolbox effectively support needs students with disabilities. Students physical, intellectual, behavioural and/or developmental disabilities that impede their ability continuously and be integrated into traditional classroom setting will require supports from specialised teachers outside resources (Ontario Human Rights Commission, 2018). Findings suggest addition specific training qualifications, special education should collaborate parents guardians on level, employ technological enhance learning experience those disabilities, differentiate what additional knowledge required beyond general certifications. Further this topic could ways educators can consider cultural or racial conceptions while still fostering family involvement, technology apps tailored specifically towards implementing these suggestions real-world then reporting results.
